I focus on wrongful termination, failure to pay wages and overtime, discrimination, harassment, and similar employment law claims. Most of my experience is with claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disability Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Employment Protection Act, the Fair Wages and Healthy Family Act, Arizona’s Medical Marijuana Act, and the Drug Testing in Employment Act.

I am an employment lawyer with 15 years experience in defending companies and representing employees in disputes with their employers. I started my legal career at large international and national law firms before starting my own firm 3 years ago, Fernandez Watts Law. Prior to being an attorney, I was a teacher with Teach for America and earned a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in the process. I also have a degree in Human Biology, which would have been helpful if I had become a doctor, but has proven to be largely unhelpful in running a lawfirm! I do know more than the average person however about the australopithecus afarensis... When I am not working, you can find me on the side of a baseball field DJ'ing walkup songs for my sons who are both on competitive club baseball teams.
